Trigger modal using magic link on first login

I am not using the Bloxby sign up process but instead using my own cart using API to create accounts.

Now I am faced with the password situation.

Is it possible to hook into the magic link function and for first time logins force the account modal to popup so they enter their password and press save?

Any advice here would be appreciated.

Also, where is the magic link function located?
