Is assets folder necessary on production server?

I am wanting to trim down the production app server as we will never run a build on that.

What are the necessary folders for production?

/application
/build
/ci_3.1.2
/elements
/images
/img
/tmp

Am i missing anything?

Assuming I want to build locally and then keep the production server lean, will that work?
